Started at a helpdesk in Tanzania.

Zynternet was born from frustration. Our founders managed a small WISP in central Tanzania and spent more time fighting spreadsheets than building networks. Customer records in Google Sheets. Payments tracked in WhatsApp chats. Bandwidth changes that required physically driving to a tower.

In 2023, we started building what we needed: a single system that could handle billing in Tanzanian shillings, talk directly to MikroTik routers, and send SMS notifications through local gateways — without a six-figure budget or a dedicated IT team.

What started as an internal tool became the platform you see today. Every feature in Zynternet exists because a real ISP asked for it, tested it, and depended on it.

We contribute back to the ecosystem. Our WireGuard provisioning scripts are open-source, and our API follows REST conventions you already know.
